ANS - Yes - we are open all year round except the week between Christmas and New year.

Q - I only need term time cover, is that OK?

ANS - Yes, we are flexible and try to work around parents needs. For each school holiday you will be asked if you require care or not. You are under no obligation to take a certain number of holiday sessions to ensure you maintain your place.

Q - Do you accept childcare vouchers?

ANS- Yes we accept all vouchers including those from governments own scheme.

Q - I am returning to education can the University or College pay for my childcare?

ANS - It is sometimes possible to get help from your university or College to pay towards the costs. We will happily help you fill in any paperwork required to assist you in securing funds.

Q - I work a shift pattern – is it possible to book sessions on a random basis?

ANS – yes providing we have space we will try to accommodate your requirements.

Q – Can you collect from Schools other than Bridge of Weir, Houston and St Fillan primarys?

ANS – At the moment we only collect from these schools, however in the past we have had parents organise their children to come to us by taxi or family friend. Please contact us if you wish to discuss the possibility of your child coming from another school. During School holidays children can come from any school as there is not a transport issue.

Q – How do you get the children to and from school?

ANS – Houston Primary children walk (escorted by members of staff) It is not very far and the only road they need to cross is the after school driveway. Bridge of weir children are transported in our minibus or company 7 seat car. Both are fully insured for carrying children and have booster seats for safety. St Fillans Primary are encouraged to walk as much as possible, however in severe weather we may use the vehicles to prevent the children getting to wet. This will depend on the capacity we have due to the commitment to collect from Bridge of Weir.

Q – Do you provide breakfast?

ANS – No, but your child can bring in cereal and we will provide a bowel and milk for them. The cereal can be stored at the After School for the next day.

Q – Do I need to provide snacks?

ANS – No we will provide a snack when the children return from school. There is always fruit available throughout the sessions. Water and fruit juice are also always available. Snacks are chosen by the children and they are encouraged to make healthy choices. During Covid our menu has been restricted to lower the chances of spreading the disease.

Q – What staff to child ratio do you work to?

ANS – We work with a ratio of 1 adult to 10 children during term time and 1 to 8 during school holidays.
